Very exciting news from Stampin' Up! They have partnered with Becky Higgins, founder of 'Project Life'. What is Project Life? A simpler and quicker way to scrapbook. See announcement from Stampin' Up! here. And to see what it is exactly and how it works, take a look here.

I'm particularly excited because a number of years ago, I had good intentions to create a wedding album for my 25th anniversary as we never did have one. I bought an album and collected papers, stickers and various embellishments and categorized my photos in a box. I was all ready to go. After a few weeks, or months I got around to making my first page. I'm not kidding, it took me hours to design it. I found it strange since I have been designing cards and other projects for years but when it came to scrapbooking I was at a loss. And guess what - all my supplies are still sitting in a box. Ugh!!

Well, with Project Life - I think my wedding album can become a reality for my 27th anniversary.

So, if you are frustrated, bewildered, just don't know how to start, I'd be happy to put together some workshops over the summer. Let me know if you'd be interested and I'll put some dates on the calendar.

Purse-style A2 Card

This card is a little different in that it is made to look like a clutch. Lift up the flap, secured with velcro, and open to see the greeting. It will fit into an A2 envelope. I have a video and written instructions for you to follow. I hope you enjoy making this card.

Card Box with the Envelope Punch Board

I made a matching box for the card set I posted on April 9. The video explains the need to increase the paper size for the box by 1/8" because A2 envelopes you make using the Envelope Punch Board are slightly wider than store-bought A2 cards. Have a look:

Shaving Cream Technique Class

Today I demonstrated how to made unique marbled backgrounds using shaving cream and re-inkers. Take a look at the cards we made:

With the time we had left we put together these cute bunny cards:

Set of Cards

Inspired by cards made by Dawn Griffith, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Michigan, I created a set of cards using the Flower Shop (#130942) and Petite Petals (#133155) stamp sets. If you like flowers these two stamp sets will be used over and over again in your projects. Both are available with a coordinating punch in bundles which save you 15%.
  • Flower Shop Bundle - (#132727 Wood-Mount) or (#132726 Clear-Mount). See page 95 in the annual catalogue.
  • Petite Petals Bundle - (#134821 Wood-Mount) or (#134822 Clear-Mount). See page 33 in the occasions catalogue.
