Great Deals This Week

Oh my gosh, there are three framelit sets on sale this week - the Envelope Liners, the Squares Collection and the Window Frames Collection. Check them out here.

You require a die cutting and embossing machine to use these - a Cuttlebug, Big Kick or Big Shot. If you don't have such a machine, Stampin' Up! does carry the Big Shot, item #113439.

I had contemplated getting the Envelope Liners framelits but thought them too expensive for their sole purpose. Then when the Envelope Punch Board,  item #133774, came out and I discovered you could make envelopes and liners I took the framelits off my wish list. Since then I have discovered other projects you can make with them so now, because they are on sale, I will be ordering them. The other projects are gift card holders, either stand-alone or mounted on or inside a card and stationary folders. Here are a couple of pictures I clipped from YouTube videos (sorry about the quality).
I plan to host a workshop on how to make these fun projects.

Card Café this Friday Morning - June 27

I was walking around my yard this morning and decided to pick a bunch of creeping buttercup . I know it's a weed but the tiny yellow flowers are so sweet and look cute in my grandmother's crystal vase.

This inspired me to create cards for this Friday's Card Café.

Please sign up so I know how much to prepare. I hope to see you then.

Card Layering Measurements

Cards are often created by laying differing sizes of cardstock or patterned paper onto the base card.
For example, start with an A2 card that measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. You then cut a piece of card 4 x 5 1/4 inches and layer on top. You may then layer a second piece that measures 3 3/4 x 5 inches. Here are a couple of examples:

Here is a link to a document that provides measurements in quarters and eighths.
